I wish I was. The problem is that by the time AFFC came out, I had forgotten 95% of what was in the earlier books. And that's not acceptable, especially for a series this *incredibly* complex. I tried reading them over again, but I just couldn't make it past perhaps a hundred pages in book one. I'm not entirely certain what to do at this point. Frankly, I'm hoping that the HBO series comes out soon so that I can perhaps get a Readers' Digest-type update so that I can go ahead and read AFFC without having to re-read the preceeding books over again. -

Re: George R. R. Martin's blog
Fri, October 12, 2007 - 8:20 PMSpeaking of this, does anyone know if there's a good recap of the books anywhere on the net, thorough enough that I could get all the information and catch-up that I'd need in order to start reading AFFC? -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: George R. R. Martin's blog
Fri, October 12, 2007 - 8:35 PMCheck the links in my 'History . . .' thread. Good stuff in Wikipedia. Although, pretty much anything you'll find will INCLUDE Feast. -

Re: George R. R. Martin's blog
Fri, October 12, 2007 - 8:45 PMDamn. I was really hoping for a book-by-book synopsis.
Wait a minute...
"Although, pretty much anything you'll find will INCLUDE Feast."
Do you mean anything I'll find anywhere, or anything I'll find in that link? -

Re: George R. R. Martin's blog
Sat, October 13, 2007 - 2:09 PMI'm just glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't forgot stuff from these books. I love them, but there are so many characters and sub-plots it's hard to keep track sometimes. -
