Am I the only one who's a fan of Martin's other works?
My next favorite beyond ASoIaF is easily _The Armageddon Rag_, and his first collection of short stories _A Song for Lya_. Also way up there is _Fevre Dream_.
And, as my first introduction to him, _Windhaven_ will always be a sentimental favorite.
I'll admit, though, I'm not a big fan of the Wildcards series he edited.
Anyone else care to chime in?

Re: Other George RR Martin?
Mon, January 16, 2006 - 9:54 PMI love Dying Of The Light. There is a very ineffible quality to it. I can't really put my finger on it, but I do find it deeply moving.
I also like Armageddon Rag, and Tuf Voyaging.
Lets not forget his work on television's Beauty And The Beast.

Re: Other George RR Martin?
Mon, January 16, 2006 - 11:27 PMI liked Fevre Dream...
I've read various short stories by GRRM as well,
I have GRRM: A Retrospective and I'm slowly working my way through it.
The Pear Shaped Man is my favorite short story yet, but I've liked them all so far.
